The Making of "American Shaman" Part 3: Banned By Social Media

Canceled on social media. Investigated by the DOJ and FBI. Audited by the IRS. After 4 years we've finally made it to Apple TV. This is a four-part article series on the making of the film.

As soon as we got the interview with Jacob Chansley on January 7th, we new we had something special.

But 48 hours later, when we found out Jake has been arrested when he arrived back to Arizona, we realized we had something exclusive. It was the only sit-down interview he gave after January 6th, and before his arrest.

We decided to quickly cut together a tailer for the film and post it online. We posted it to YouTube, and shared it on Twitter and Facebook.

Here is that original trailer posted on January 12, 2021.

The original title for the film was “Buffalo Man” since that was originally what people were calling Jake.

The video on YouTube quickly climbed to 9,000 views within a couple of hours.

The Twitter and Facebook posts began to be shared like crazy. Jacob Chansley and January 6th were in the news non-stop, and people were interested in knowing who this guy was.

And then…. the suspensions began.

My Twitter account, which I had for over 10 years, with thousands of followers, was suspended on January 12, 2021.

We set up an alternate account for the film under the new name of the film, “Q Sent Me,” and reposted the trailer to that account. It was suspended within hours.

My Facebook account, which I had for over 10 years, with over 4,000 friends, along with dozens of business pages and groups, were all banned on January 13, 2021. It has never been reinstated.

Over the course of the entire year of 2021, I had numerous other accounts banned for talking about the film.

I went on the Tucker Carlson show in November of 2021 once Jake was sentenced to prison.

On December 5th, 2021, they banned my alternate Twitter account.

I have had multiple YouTube YouTube channels. 

I was banned for life from Vimeo, an account I had for 10 years with over 4,000 videos. The reason? Two private videos, and one public video, with a combined total of 36 views, related to this film.

But it wasn’t just the social media companies that tried to silence me.

Soon, the Biden Administration came after me.
